Oh god, really? Really right now? The guy may not have backed off, but Jamal knew that stance way too well. That was the stance that people took when they were trying to not step away or run. Freaking fantastic. Jamal could've rolled his eyes, but instead he like always and just flashed his teeth in a grin. People tended to react way, way better when they got a smile instead of a glare. And by 'react better' Jamal meant that they either got a positive vibe or they freaked worse because they didn't think he should be grinning like that. Someone had told him that once and Jamal hadn't believed it; he had a great goddamn smile.
"Makes sense if you were wandering 'round outside or had the window open." Seriously. This just wasn't how people were supposed to dress. Or act. "Nooooo," Jamal dragged the word out a bit, the expression on his face a little disbelieving. "Just as warm as it's supposed to be. You forget to turn the air off in your room? Close the window? Not take a shower in ice water?" Hey, it wasn't in Jamal's nature to ever assume that people knew how to behave. Because they didn't. "You got a name, frozen boy?"
