There were likely not many people that valued family as much as Mick did, he had learned that much in his life so far. If others talked about broken families, divorces and not wanting to go home for the holidays? He couldn't relate at all. He had Christmas presents ready in October and couldn't wait to go back home ever since he moved to L.A.. Now thinking about them made him incredibly sad and he couldn't wait for the year to be over so he could get his shit together and finally be able to visit them again without making them sad.
He shrugged. "You know, I try to see it positive. I mean, we all signed up for this. We knew things were bound to happen. And it's not like they would harm us. So no, it is not like prison. We are here on our own, free will, we got this incredible house with just about everything one could ask for, there's plenty of people around to interact with... And there will be no Stanley Kubrickness. Even though I do admire his work, when it comes to freaking out? The Shining. Or Falling Down. The movie with Michael Douglas? Definitely."
