"Not at all," Audrey said with an understanding smile. "I'm a bear if I don't have my tea in the mornings; I can hardly blame you for needing your caffeine." Her stance on food in the room was relatively clear, assuming one saw the mug of tea she had next to her on the nightstand. She might not have been so welcoming had he wanted to bring back an entire plate of food and eat it, but there were plenty of ways to get around it should the situation arise. She didn't really count beverages as food, provided he didn't spill it on anything she liked.
She might have laughed, had she known he considered her young. When it came to pure age, it was more or less true, but she'd seen and done so much in her time that Audrey herself didn't think she'd ever really been young. Not that she necessarily regretted it. She'd learned some very important life lessons that continued to serve her well. She was looking forward to her conversation with the Frenchman; he'd seemed very smooth and polished during their last group encounter, but Audrey didn't know much about him. The fact that he'd flown under her radar so far was now enough to bring him to the fore.
