"A singer, huh?" That was interesting, if not slightly cliche. It could only have been more cliche if she had been a waitress in Los Angeles trying to become a model or an actress. "You'll have to sing for the house sometime. I'm sure people will enjoy it." He, however, would never be singing. It was in the mythology of his life that glass would break any time he tried to sing, simply because his voice was so off-key that the glass was trying to get him to stop by flinging itself at him in shards. Of course, that's not how it truly went. He was just a bad singer. Without commenting on her acheivement in American Idol (he didn't know what that was), he said, "I doubt Jai would complain that much. He would probably enjoy having some time to mingle without having to make drinks."
