Bryce and [Open]
Far more people had shown up than Bryce had expected. Names and faces were crowding his mind, trying to take all of his attention from the others while he tried to memorize them. It was, needless to say, a catastrophic failure on his part. Too many people were around Bryce for him to be comfortable at that moment. It was too much, too fast, and because of that, he'd started to take on the look of someone who was going to start panicking soon. Grabbing a cupcake, he excused himself and moved over to a spot a few feet away from everyone. He tried to make sure that he didn't move so far away that he was isolating himself from the group, though, and tried to make it look like he was still interested in talking. It felt like he could breathe again, and from that distance it was easier to watch people and try to memorize people's names. Unfortunately, that wasn't working so well, as people kept coming in and adding names to the pot he had to choose from.
Eventually, Bryce had to give up trying to actually remember who was whom. There were too many new faces and too many new names. One day he would know everyone's names, but today was not that day. Today was meant to be a somewhat fun way of meeting the rest of the people of the house. He was sure that the others were having a fun time, and now that he had stepped away from the crowd, Bryce was able to start to enjoy the get together. Some of the conversations that were going on were quite amusing.
He bit into the cupcake, and smiled. It was pretty good. He'd have to remember to thank Mack for it later. Behind him was a table that he was able to lean up against to get more comfortable. With his bulk resting on the table, Bryce started to look around the room to take in his surroundings. He had a feeling that he might spend a good bit of time in this room, just because it was something to do when he wasn't working out. There was still a smile on his face while he looked around, making him seem fairly friendly while he hoped someone would come talk to him so that he wouldn't have to try to brave the herd again.
