There was no way to really know for sure where they were, because the journey to get here hadn't told Avery anything. He figured it had been like that for everyone. It was interesting, at least to him, because back home it was probably fifty degrees or so, minimum. The weather was something for him to think about for a short while, at least, to keep him from flipping out about whether or not he'd made the right decision to do this.
"You either," he replied when Lina said she was going to take off and told him not to freeze. She had a better chance of it than he did, if she was indeed taking a snowmobile out. "See you." He moved back out of her way, glancing around at the things he hadn't seen yet, acutely aware of not crowding her since he didn't like to be crowded. Once she was gone, he'd take a stab at putting on the snowsuit and then making his way back to the house. He'd had enough outdoor adventure for one day, given the circumstances.
