Avery had been lost in thought, and he hadn't expected someone to brush right past him. He hadn't actually touched him, but still the sudden movement made him jump, and he watched the other man warily as he made a beeline for the refrigerator. He acted like he felt completely comfortable here, and although it might be just an act, Avery had to envy that. He was beginning to have the first stirrings of what was I thinking? for signing up for this. The blindfold incident alone had set those thoughts in motion. It had been horrifying to have to submit to that, and he could only hope that had been the worst of what might go on here.
He moved further into the room himself, looking at the various pans that hung on the overhead rack. He was pondering making himself a grilled cheese sandwich; surely the simple ingredients of cheese, butter and bread would be easily found here. When Bobby introduced himself, he replied with, "Avery." Short and to the point, which was how his conversations tended to go most of the time.
