Wanted for a very unique Harry Potter RPG.
What if Sirius Black had remained Lily and James' Secret Keeper, and his friends had survived?
Barty Crouch Sr. has become the Minster of Magic - his son appointed to the post of Teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Voldemort has been biding his time? What if Harry Potter and Neville Long Bottom had grown up with their parents? What if Harry Potter wasn’t The Boy Who Lived?
My name is Elizabeth, I’m the moderator for Tweak! It's an RPG that asks how different the world of Harry Potter would have been if the slightest changes had occurred in the story. We’re set in the year 1995, during the 5th book, when Harry starts to learn about his past and the prophecy that was placed upon his shoulders - or in this case, his and Neville’s shoulders.
We're a game with a strong plot, but are open to player-created events and always hope to get input from our members so nobody is excluded. Not only that, we're seeking players for our roster:
Sirius Black: I would personally love to see a complex Sirius; someone that has the pressure of not only having to deal with protecting his best friend, but someone who has the added trouble of dealing with his godson. This Sirius has never been to Azkaban and hadn't had to deal with the Dementors, so I’m curious as to how others might see this version of Padfoot.
James and Lily Potter: Lily and James are interesting characters to deal with in this RP, namely because their role in this world is expanded. Here they are living on the edge; as major players in the Order they have to watch Barty Crouch Sr's new group of elite Aurors who are out to destroy any thing connected to the Death Eaters. Both seek to root out Voldemort. Not only that, their son is unknowing about the prophecy that could have lead to his death.
Harry, Ron, Neville, Hermione, Ginny: The world has changed and Harry and Neville have different views of it. Both have grown up with their parents, and they know the wizarding world isn’t as they imagined when children. Ron and Ginny’s family, whilst poor, is looked at keenly by those who are anti Pureblood rhetoric. Hermione has the added danger of older students in Slytherin acting aggressively towards Muggleborns.
Bellatrix Black: She is Voldemort’s most loyal Death Eater. Bellatrix is one of the few who knows where the Dark Lord is, and acts as a go between for him and his loyal Death Eaters. Because she has never been caught I would love to see how someone would play her, a Bellatrix that has more power and more reason to be Voldemort's greatest servant.
Barty Crouch Sr and Jr.: Barty Crouch Sr. has become obsessed with finding Voldemort. The state of affairs in the Ministry shows that anyone with any connection to the Death Eaters, or with a family that has Dark Arts associations, will be treated as if they are part of an inquisition. His son, far from the lowly person he was thought to be, has become the darling of the Ministry and through Barty Sr. has gained the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts.
We’re also looking for good characters, more villains, and those that aren’t sure what side to be on. Since this world has changed so much we’re trying to carry over the spirit of the books without being constrictively cannon. We allow players to play and create interesting plots. There are lots of openings for characters.
We’re starting on Friday the 13th through Monday the 16th.
New apps are always welcome, and we are OC friendly and willing to help you fill your applications. This mod is friendly, happy to help, and practically always on in one way or another. The players are a warm bunch who want to meet new people. We hope to see you there.
