It had been nearly a month since Bellatrix has been locked up in prison. Andromeda didn't know how many people had been to see her in that time - only that she had not. For a month, she'd had the golden opportunity to confront her sister where Bellatrix not only couldn't fight back, but also couldn't leave. Bellatrix was a prisoner. Some would say that she was Andie's prisoner. And yet, even with the superior position, Andromeda had been hesitant to visit, postponing it every day while knowing that the sentence would soon be expiring and her opportunity lost.
But she was scared...
Visiting hours were long past by the time Andromeda made the short trek from her cottage to the prison, but that didn't matter. As a mentor and a healer, she had privileges to the hospital not bestowed on just anyone. The field that barred entry into the prison melted away when she presented her bracelet, but the lights within didn't turn on; it was past curfew. The tip of Andromeda's wand led the way, her footsteps echoing loudly in the mostly empty building. It was all she could do to keep her wand hand from trembling when she stopped in front of her sister's cell, the echo of her last few steps dying slowly in the still air.
"Good evening, Bella." It would have been impossible for Bellatrix not to hear her approach, but Andromeda was prepared to wait all night until Bellatrix acknowledged her presence.
