“Only like, 15% ridiculous. At the most,” Freddie shot back, with a smile. He crossed his arms over his chest for a moment, rocking back on his heels as he took in the broomsticks hovering above them. He could understand it, in a way. After all, he’d had his own flying accident… although in that instance most of the damage had come from the addition of fireworks.
“Well,” he said, after a moment. “I’d maybe suggest something a little slower – perhaps that one up there, with the blue twine around the handle? And I guess the best way to avoid plummeting is probably just to start off pretty close to the ground…” He offered her a slightly wider grin, spiked with amusement.
“Want to give it a go?” he asked, clicking his tongue and holding out a hand as the broomstick started to float towards them. One dark eyebrow inched upwards. “No time like the present, after all.”
