It had wanted so desperately to leave it's hiding place for the last week. But it had seen itself. It had seen itself in it's old, human form and it was scared. Which was strange for a ghost, when nothing can harm you. But there was no chance the others would understand.
It had wanted to appear when Hufflepuff finished their Quidditch game. There were so many emotions. So many wonderful emotions that made it whole. It was almost opaque!
It hadn't seen Wayne for a while. And that was a shame. It really did like Wayne. The boy gave it the best feelings. If it had a heart it was sure it would flutter.
The funeral had been- the funeral had been overwhelming. It had spent the time hidden away, cowering, so full and bright and glowing even the darkness of the room it sat in was pierced through, lit up. But it was softer now. Dimmer. It felt more comfortable about going out-
The Hufflepuff common room was empty. It hovered in the middle of the room, looking around. It wished it could smell. Smell the school and fireplace and old books and food in the hall again-
