Who: Desiree and Ernie MacMillan
What: She's bored
Where: Some hallway with lots of glass
When: Tuesday before lunch
Being kept in the castle really wasn't the worst news. It would suck to have curfews and the whole bit, but what else had they expected? Desiree was 17, and she knew her that her parents would have enforced similar rules. Most students would get in a huff about it, but then get over it. That always seemed to happen at Hogwarts, everything exploded but then was quickly forgotten. Even now, only a day later, Desiree hadn't heard too much talk in the halls. Besides, it really was for their own safety. As much as Desiree loved blood, she'd rather not watch herself bleed to death.
Today Desiree was dressed in her school robes. She hadn't had class yet today, and wouldn't be having class until after lunch. While she enjoyed the coolness of the dungeons, Desiree had grown restless and needed a walk. She had found herself on the other side of the castle, in a hallway she'd never seen before. Usually that would be an odd thing to say, but Desiree was constantly finding new places in Hogwarts. This hallway was made of glass, and Desiree was shocked she'd never noticed it from outside before. Standing near the window, Desiree looked out over the lake. The clouds were overcast, so the sun wasn't able to hurt Desiree's eyes. This was quite a view, and Desiree could easily lose herself here.
Looking out, Desiree watching the changes. Birds flying, the ripples in the lake, the few leaves that were falling. Des had always had a love for nature, which was why she did so well in Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures. Nature depended on something else as much as it depended on itself. Lifting a hand to the glass, Desiree pressed her face against it.
