Luna completely understood wanting to be left alone. Although she wasn't upset too often, when she was, Luna went into hiding. She'd draw the curtains around her bed if it were cold outside, or she'd find a far off tree on the grounds to protect her. Trees were very good at protecting her when she was upset, because no one seemed to bother her. In the past Luna had few friends to speak with when things were bothering her, so she'd gotten used to speaking with tress. If Luna got upset tomorrow, her first instinct would be to go talk to the trees before seeking human comfort.
As soon as Hermione dragged Luna away, Luna knew to stay quiet. The Gryffindor didn't want anyone to know what was wrong, and she'd be ready to talk about it soon enough. Luna was shocked at the hugged, but hung onto Hermione tightly. She pet the girl's long hair, and remained hugging until Hermione's grip loosened. Stepping back slightly so Luna could see her face, Luna brushed a stray piece of hair behind Hermione's ear. "You know it'll work out, before long. These things aren't meant to be easy. They have to be a challenge, or people who constantly end up with the wrong people. The fact you two have stuck together throughout all this time and your other fights proves that you'll get through this one too." Luna always believed in what she was saying 100%, so anything that came out of her mouth was her good and honest truth.
