Terence thought on that for a moment, but still couldn't help but want to roll his eyes. He refrained though, letting out a frustrated sigh, pushing his messy hair back. He felt ad though no matter what he said it wouldn't be right. "I'm sorry, okay? I don't have a fucking manual on how to best react in situations. And if you recall, you were pretty damn adamant you were going. I couldn't have talked you down from the ledge even if I wanted, even if I was more articulate of a person. Your mind was made up. What else would have been better? Stunning you? Is that what you would have preferred?" His voice was a little but rougher now, but he still kept himself in check. Still stopped himself from all out yelling. Because the fact remained he didn't want to yell or fight with her. Not at all.
But it seemed for a moment she deflated a bit, but her words were still able to rub him the wrong way. "There's a big difference between being stupid and acting stupid. We both know you're not stupid Melinda, that's why I was so frustrated. You're smarter than most people here. So don't think I actually believe something all thay negative about you. I just... I didn't know what to do.... I'm sorry."
