Daphne let out a content little sigh. So far, this wasn't awful. And he didn't seem completely opposed to having her around, especially if he was inviting her to attend private lessons with him. "I would like that. Or, appreciate that. A lot." She'd probably never get to do what she wanted with her NEWTs, but then, that was probably a conversation best left for after the wedding. Did he want her as a trophy wife? Was she allowed to have a life outside of breeding?
This really was a conversational they would have to have. Her mother had told her not to rush things, that they would fall into place. Stephen would have the ultimate say once the marriage happened.
And Daphne felt like an object being moved around to the highest bidder. She tried to keep on the smile, fight her way past those thoughts. Her own parents were happy, but then, even though their marriage had been arranged, they had already known and dated each other in their own Hogwarts days. She just wished she knew already what Stephen wanted from her.
