The grocery store was out of Zebra again!
A hundred years ago, supernaturals 'didn't exist'. They were figments of your imagination, things that went bump in the night and tall tales that you told your children. Not anymore.
Supernaturals were in hiding, laying dormant and blending into the background in order to protect themselves, but during WWII, the need for their abilities became so great that hiding was no longer an option. The government had long been aware of the existence of supernaturals, and when Hitler was killed or died and the accounts of the death were so unusual they couldn't be explained, people started asking questions. Keeping supernaturals under wraps became impossible and so the different races of supernaturals exploded across the lands. Just like any other minority, supernaturals weren't welcomed with open arms. Many were persecuted and some even killed for being 'different'. There was segregation and hate crimes and many churches labeled being supernatural an abomination before God. Supernaturals had to register with the government and were prosecuted if they were found without their registration cards. Many supernaturals went back into hiding.
During the sixties, however, in the height of civil rights and love, peace and harmony, being supernatural didn't seem so bad in the grand scheme of things. There were vast civil rights movements and eventually laws were passed protecting supernaturals the same as other minority groups. Still, not everyone accepted people who were 'different'. Many supernaturals migrated to areas where they were more widely accepted.
Some may have moved right next door to you.
In Toronto, Ontario, Canada, moving into an apartment with a new roommate might mean that you're sharing a living space with a werewolf. Or maybe your son's new kindergarten teacher is an elemental. Or that girl you have a crush on in Algebra just might already know because she's a telepath. Things are still a struggle when it comes to acceptance and not everyone is happy about the path that the world is taking towards equality.

Welcome to Life after McKinley! The game that wonders what will happen after everyone graduates McKinley High School. Who will leave Lima behind for something more, and who will stay? Life after graduation is bound to be full of excitement and trials. Join us to watch it all unfold.
In this RPG you will be able to take your character anywhere. Will Rachel finally be able to live her dreams in New York along with Kurt? How will all relationships work out-- If Finn chooses to work in Burt’s shop, will he and Rachel be able to make it work in a long distance relationship? And how will the new members of New Directions be able to live to the others expectations? It’s all up to you in how you would like to portray these characters.
In this game we will be welcoming OC characters. After all, Mr. Schue can’t just let New Directions disappear just because everyone graduated. But with all the others gone or staying in Lima, will they all return to McKinley for a big reunion? It could all happen in Life After McKinley. The game is set in the year 2013, so what will the future hold for the GLEE kids?
Even though that this is an AU game, if you would like something that happened in canon on the show you can have that happen. But if you don't want something to happen, for example, Sebastian never tried to put the moves on Blaine then you don't have to have that happen. So its all up to you on how you would like things to happen in the game

{MYTHOLOGY: GODS REINCARNATE} In order to survive, you must evolve. Following this end, many great deities, lords of old, beloved goddesses, angels and demons, wizards, witches, knights, tempestuous beasts of legend, have come to adapt to the changing world around them. They have become a part of the changing society, an integrated part of the mortal world. Some may be forgotten, but never erased. They live on in the real world as reincarnates, roaming among us. As society continued to put stories of the past behind them, more and more reincarnates of old gods emerged.
Eventually these reincarnates became a staggering fraction of the society. And they were noticeable, different, from everyone else. People hated them, feared them, and in some cases, attacked or imprisoned them. Amidst the paranoia a group of reincarnates emerged to form an institution to protect, defend, and to gather their fellow community members. Their goal was to create an organization focused on teaching and making a life for all reincarnates.
Montenegro U is a PB-based mythological game on InsaneJournal revolving around a fictional college town and school in Colorado where mythological reincarnates are accepted or hired to work. We're a small, close-knit community of roleplayers and we strive to provide for you an interactive, creative, drama-free forum for playing your favorite mythological characters.

Nothing Is Real is a Beatles role play community! It partly deals with mature themes, which is why we are friends only, but you can of course join just to read the threads. We are open to gen, het and slash. AUs are accepted, but not original characters. The game is mostly centred around the Beatles but any character even loosely connected with the 60s or 70s art scene is welcome, really.
It's a 'no strings attached' sort of role play which basically means that you can apply for as many characters as you want, Beatles, Beatles wives or friends and there can be as many players as we want, even for the same characters. You can also choose your time and space span, build it up through several threads or jump from one thing to the other freely. It fact it isn't a well-built rp as much as a den, a place for you to meet other role players and start threads freely with the ones you like.

In centuries past, mortals believed in superstition. They believed in gods. They believed in magic. With worship waning, the gods found that they had to think of new ways to increase their power and influence. They turned to their mortal children - their demi-gods. However, lately, greater problems have arisen. The forces of darkness and chaos are rising, threatening the very fabric of existence. Who will succeed? Who will stand for goodness and light, and who will be the harbingers of darkness and chaos?
