I love your PB, but I feel as though Johnathon Miller is a bit of a plain name. What is his middle name? Does he have any nicknames?
I think one of the things that I feel distracts me in this biography is a certain disconnect between the man and his age. His grooming and spending habits are a little immature for a man of 40 years of age, and I would like to see a little more explanation on why he's retained such habits. I find the baby blanket to be a little unbelievable, on top of his other quirks. I'd just really like to see a bit more detail on this. His sexuality feels a little tossed in on top – added at the very end, that he likes boys, without much to say why or how he decided he liked them.
A good thread that I like is his divorce from his wife and his loneliness. I think this really works for him, and I think it's something you should definitely use as a pivot for his actions. It's often the sad case that men in divorces suffer alone in silence, and have a whole host of mental and physical problems to go along with it. The gambling is a good thing to say might be caused by his sadness.
I have to agree I don't really understand what a casual suit is. Can you explain?
Why did John become a detective? What drew him to this line of work? What are his particular talents in detective work? Why does his whole life revolve around it? Does he have any hobbies at all? What is his educational background? I think the background and personality both need to be expanded upon with more things to make John stand out as a person. I would recommend going back to look at the list in the application to see if any of the suggestions appeal to you.
My vote's reject for now. Please edit and get back to us as soon as possible! I would love to have the cop around to join in the mayhem.
