hidden students

I started to write this post on Wednesday and had every intention of complaining about how stressful my life was, but life stepped in and saved you all from that because firefox updated and shut down my post. Since then, I am still feeling the stresses of life and senior year but I have already vented to my mom during an hour and a half phone call (this is unusual for me-i usually call home about once a week and talk to everyone for a total of 30 minutes).
After visiting Turrentine on Thursday, I was concerned about how easy it is for a child to hide, or to fall under the radar. Albien is a 7th grader and is in my AG class. He seems like he's got everything under control and that he's following along to instructions, but I realized from the first day that he either has a short attention span or that he just doesn't pay attention period. He often asks the girl behind him (Sarah) what they are supposed to be doing and even copies her work. I've only seen them do group work and warmups so I can understand how this would not be as obvious to the teacher, but I've been thinking of bursting his bubble. It's not fair to Sarah to have to repeat instructions (when they are often written on the board as well as clearly explained) or to have her work copied by another student. Any suggestions as to what I should do or how I should handle this?
