Summary: When Severus meets someone who shares his long cherished views about Harry Potter he finds that maybe he is not so certain about his opinions as he once thought he was.
Prompt: #32. Two men, both think that they know Harry Potter, both have reason to dislike him and have had problems dealing with him. You would have thought that Severus Snape and Vernon Dursley would get on well – but do they?
A/N: Written for Phoenix_Flies Festival on InsaneJournal. This story took me ages to write, I just could not feel happy with it. It is an episode that might, or might not have taken place during the Deathly Hallows and therefore does not have a resolution because that book does not allow a resolution to occur. However I only managed to complete it after writing this story. and pretending that this particular post is merely a prologue. If you want to ignore that story then A Twisted Mirror is fully compliant with DH and can be read as a one-shot. It is written entirely from Severus’ POV.
