[Tucked into a booth in a pleasantly low-lit corner of the comfortable and atmospheric bar, Commissar Ciaphas Cain is pouring himself a glass of amasec. He eyes the matching glass waiting across from him and decides to hold off on pouring until its owner arrives.]
[Thanks to his artificially-enhanced lifespan, Cain still looks nearly the same as he did more than a decade ago. Maybe an extra wrinkle here or there, but nothing more significant than that. He is in uniform, but his hat and greatcoat hang on the booth separator's coat rack, leaving only the basic insignia-bedecked uniform and his sash to indicate he is not a civilian.]
[Cain picks it up and gives it another shuffle to wile away the minutes until his "friend" arrives. Or whatever they might be at this point. It's... complicated.]
