Phantasos

[If you're walking in the streets of Phantasos tonight, you'll see some strange creatures drifting through the air. They aren't predatory or aggressive, in fact, it's as if they're completely ignoring your existence. For those who can sense the supernatural, they might notice that the tiny spheres of light in each creature's arm are actually the souls of the dead.]

[The shinidamachuu are all heading in one direction. To their mistress. To the woman who ties herself to them. It's time for Kikyo to revitalize her body of grave soil and bones. She hates the task herself, but she needs it in order to cling to this weary life.]

[Follow at your own risk.]

[Those who know this woman would not recognize her -- not when she when her silver mane has now turned brown, and the notable scar that ran down her face and the upper part of her body was nowhere to be seen. In the place of the strict uniform of Fereshte, she had on her person a light summer dress, and shoes.]

[The place was calm, dark and quiet, a telescope propped on the edge of a wooden plank by a large lake. Stars were strewn across the black velvet sky, with no moon in sight, it was perfect for this woman who was peering through the telescope, humming a nondescript tune.]

[A normal place, normal setting -- but not for this one. She looks up from her telescope and over her shoulder at whoever may come...]

[Lime-haired young man, lounging on a bench, seems to be engrossed in a well worn leather-bound pocket book, muttering --]

Hm. Must save some for later. Regene, are you -- ?!

[He looks up, surprised, as he slid a satin ribbon bookmark to the page he left. He looks at his bench -- perhaps expecting it was anything but a bench -- as he daintily folded the book on his lap. Eyes scan the area, and he heaves a sigh.]

This is strange. Very strange indeed...
