Title: Dinner Games Author: hpsauce Rating: NC-17 Pairing: Remus/James Kink(s): sex toys, exhibitionism Challenge: Lusty Month of May 2009 Word count: 2001 Notes: AU - Lily and James are divorced, established James/Remus and implied established Sirius/Lily. gala_apples' prompt stated Lily and James were on a date...not so much in this fic but they are together in a fancy restaurant ;)
"You don't mind?" James asked for the third time in as many minutes. He was laid on the bed, surrounded by crumpled sheets and looking up at Remus' arse as the other man fished around in the closet. Remus shot a look over his shoulder, good-natured but exasperated. It was one James had gotten used to very quickly after they had met.
"Really," Remus said, "I don't mind."
Under any other circumstances, James might have just let it go but he didn't understand how anyone could really not mind. He was going for dinner with his ex-wife, a woman that he had never managed to be able to forget. The fact that Remus was being so calm about it was making him nervous.
"Really?" James asked.
"Really," Remus muttered, rolling his eyes as the slammed the chest at the bottom of the closet closed. He leaned back on his heels, looking at James with a calculating look.
James knew that look. When once it had heralded doom for Snivellus and his Slytherin allies, James knew that nowadays it all too often heralded gloom for him instead.
"Moony," he muttered, pushing himself upright to be better able to protect himself.
Remus swaggered towards him, a wide smile on his face. James was pushed up against the headboard. Apparition would be the only means of escape and, after the fifth time Sirius had appeared and ruined a bought of amazing sex, that had been made impossible.
"Moony," James pleaded and then Remus leapt, pinning him against the bed with four bony limbs and a sinful mouth.
James couldn't complain. There was the possiblity that he might be late for his dinner date but Lily could never make him feel like this. He closed his eyes as Remus bit the skin of his hipbones before breathing wetly over his cock.
It was only too easy to let his guard down.
-
"James!" Lily greeted, wrapping her arms around him in a friendly hug. James smiled weakly, patting her back awkwardly. He hated these monthly meetings.Without the distraction of their son, the strained relationship between them was aparent.
Lily watched him over the rim of her wine-glass. He sat down ratehr delicately, flashing her a winning smile that did not quite reach his wincing eyes. His gaze flickered over to something behind her shoulder but when she turned around there was no one to be seen. She poured him a large glass of Chardonnay, not caring that he hated white wine, and then refilled her own.
"How's work?" she asked, hating the awkwardness of the conversation. Nonetheless, it was a necessary evil. Harry would grow up with two parents who, if no longer in love, could at least carry on an amicable conversation.
James fidgetted in the chair, first shifting to the right and then gentley to the left. The chair tilted slightly and he had to reach across to steady the table.
"Good," he finally squeaked, launching a glare over her shoulder, "very good. Possibly looking at getting a promotion in a few months time which would be-."
"Good?" Lily filled in with a smirk. She took a large gulp of wine. How she wished James hadn't set down that 'no spouses' rule last month. What she wouldn't give for Remus to be here. He was at least able to find a few synonyms for good.
-
Remus reclined in the booth, sipping at his own glass of merlot. It was James favourite, he knew. Dry and warming. He let his eyes flick up to James, shifting awkwardly in his chair and flushing as he tried to converse with Lily. It took him back to their schooldays as perfectly as a timeturner might.
No doubt it was the thought of their schooldays, of James being lovestruck at the sight of the fiery Miss Evans and of Remus trying desperately to get his attention that made him press down on the remote in his hand.
-
"Fuck!" James cried, almost launching forward into his starter.
Lily jumped and then glared at him. His hands gripped the edges of the table, white-knuckled and shaking. His eyes once again flashed to a point beyond Lily's head and she turned around, looking at the empty booth.
"James," she said stiffly, "sit down. You're making a scene."
James did sit down with more than a little wince and with much fidgetting. His hands settled over his cutlery on either side of his plate. He took a cautious forkful of salad, seeming to be praying to some power unknown to let him finish it.
His hands shook.
Lily sighed and picked at her own salad. She would never understand him.
The third time that he dropped a forkful of prawns into his lap she reached across and grabbed his wrist. There had to be something very wrong to make such a steady-handed chaser shake.
-
Remus frowned as Lily grabbed James' hand. The twist of jealousy a familiar friend. He was a level-headed man. He knew that there were a hundred reasons why Lily might want to hold his hand, most of them in no way related to a relationship. The most obvious, of course, being that James always became incrediably clumsy when he was turned on.
Nonetheless, Remus dropped his spoon into his soup and slammed a hand down onto the remote, once, twice, thrice.
-
"Uh," James gasped, forcing Lily to let go of his hand in shock. She recognised that gutteral moan. She sat back in her chair, eyes wide.
"Oh Merlin," he gasped, hands reaching out once more to steady himself against the table. It shook as he closed his eyes, whimpering low in his throat.
Lily sighed sitting back.
"Are you going to tell me what is going on?" she asked, "because we have to get through two more courses and I shan't have Remus," James gave an almost unnoticeable whimper at the sound of his lover's name, "complaining to me about letting you go home hungry just because you managed to spill more food on your lap than in your mouth."
James nodded, seemingly regaining his sanity. He smiled, his normal, winning smile, the same one that had, once upon a time, made her feel melty and light. Now it just made her sigh in exasperation, knowing full well that such a smile never boded well for the future.
"So you were saying," James prompted, looking ever so innocent as he speared the last few prawns from his plate. He put them into his mouth quickly and without ceremony, seeming to swallow them hole.
Lily ignored the increased amount of fidgetting and set her knife and fork down neatly on her plate.
"I saw saying," she said, "that Sirius might be getting a promotion too. I know you probably speak more than we do but-," she shrugged, "you don't need to worry about increasing the payments. We're comfortable enough."
"Good," James said and Lily rolled her eyes fondly.
-
By the end of the main course Lily was becoming quite concerned. James had leapt up no fewer than ten occasions during the meal and had currently began fidgetting so much that she was rather worried than he might upset the table and spill their dinner all over the floor.
It was just after a rather violent jump, where James had stood up completely and squeaked that he finally excused himself, casting a lingering look at the empty booth behind Lily. She sat back at the table, sipping at her wine and wondering quite what the future might hold for Harry now it appeared his father had succumed to complete insanity at the tender age of twenty-four.
-
James leant against the sink, breathing deeply. The vibrations had been pleasant at first. It was great to have something pleasant to distract from the excruciating agony of trying to have a pleasant conversation with Lily. By the time his steak had arrived, however, he had been so painfully hard that he had been unable to keep his hands steady, so intent they were on heading to his cock for grant him relief. The vibrations had only got more numerous in number, no doubt in direct correlation to the rosy glow of Remus' cheeks.
The door swung open and said glowing Remus stepped into the bathroom, swaying listlessly and looking rather pleased with himself.
"Take it out," James gasped, turning towards him with a glare.
"Prongs," Remus started, raising his hands in a placating gesture.
"Take it out," James said, "before I ask Lily to help me with the problem it's causing."
"Prongs," Remus said, stepping forward and grabbing at James' arm. James shook him off, frowning.
"Take it out," James repeated for the third time, "now!"
"You have to-," Remus said, his rosy cheeks becoming redder by the second, "you have to- to-."
Normally James found Remus' inability to talk about sex endearing - and amusing when compared to his dirty mind - but this was not the time.
"What?" he asked.
"You have to-," Remus began and whispered the final word under his breath, "come."
"Then hurry up," James said, "and make it happen so I can go out there and finish my dinner. I'm hungry Remus. You may not have noticed but three-quarters of my meal has been fed to my cock. It's not like it needs to get any bigger."
"Here?" Remus asked, looking around the stalls as if terrified that a judgemental wizard might suddenly appear.
"Well," James spat, "you didn't seem to mind me coming in front of the whole restaurant the way you were pounding that thing."
"I got carried away," Remus grumbled.
"Well," James prompted, waving towards the nearest stall, "get carried away again."
Remus stumbled towards one of the stall and slammed the door closed behind him. He looked up at James through golden lashes before he leaned forward and kissed him.
James pulled back, eyes hard as iron behind his glasses. He looked down their bodies and lifted a brow.
Remus leaned forward against to steal another kiss.
"Fucking hell, Moony," James spat, "if you're going to use your mouth at least put it to good use. I don't want fucking romance I want to come so I can go back in there a talk to my ex-wife without-."
Remus sunk to his knees and freed James' cock with the minimum of fuss. He pressed his lips to it in a mockery of the gentle kiss he ahd given James' mouth. His eyes flickered upwards and James scowled.
Remus sighed, licking the fluid from the head of James' cock. He pressed another kiss to the tip before opening his mouth and taking the cock into his mouth. James growled, gripping Remus' hair tightly enough to tear it out, eyes squeezed tightly shut. Remus cried out around his cock, sucking so that his cheeks hollowed entirely. His eyes watered slightly as James fucked his mouth, head pressed back against the cubicle door, hands pulling at silver-brown strands.
He came quickly with a muffled cry. His hands on Remus' hair loosened. When he opened his eyes again, Remus was looking at him with an expression resembling a kicked puppy.
He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Remus' lips, tasting the bitter taste of his own come on his lips. He hummed before he pulled back, patting Remus' arse amicably.
"Take it out now?" James asked, blinking in a pantomime of feminine charms.
Remus smirked. Dread filled James' heart.
-
Lily sighed as James finally returned from the bathroom.
"You know," she said with a smirk, "I think we should backpeddle on this no spouses rule. It's clear that Remus is the only one keeping you sane."
She reached across and stole the cherry from the top of his sundae.
"Great idea," he said.
His eyes flickered past her shoulder once more before he promptly picked up his de-cherried sundae and dropped it in his lap with a sigh.
