*smile* Not that James isn't acting badly--obviously, he is--but Remus isn't doing himself any favors, either. Not a criticism of the fic, just me being interested in the character.
It's funny, what we know about Remus--from interviews (wanting to be liked by his friends too much), Snape's worst memory (standing by an incident of schoolyard bullying), PoA (being comfortable and in charge in the classroom), and DH (demonstrating an ugly self-hatred)--doesn't really add up; I don't think JKR has any real interest in what it's like to be a minority interested in assimilation (or perhaps just wasn't interested in fleshing out the character as much as I'd like). One of the things I enjoy about Snupin is seeing authors handle the loaded issue of Remus' loyalty to his friends, which Remus/Sirius writers tend to gloss over over.
