It's so nice to read this story again all in one go. During LMOM, getting it only one day at a time in the midst of so many other stories, I would often get your characterizations mixed up with other stories. Severus is so - almost sweet in his relative innocence, if either word can apply to him. And Remus is such an eager little beaver himself. There's so much darkness in this story, with the way James and Sirius treat Remus, and with the fear and tragedy of the war etc, but Remus and Severus manage to create this little oasis of intimacy. And you balance those elements so well that it makes everything all the more poignant.
