The shudder that sprang up her spine when his lips brushed her skin surprised her, and while guilt threatened to gnaw at her heart, she reasoned that she was: A) on vacation and, more importantly, B) single! Harmless flirting with a man she'd never met was hardly cheating, even if she wasn't single.
“It's a pleasure to meet you, as well, Victor!” She chirped, worming some of his exuberance back into her speech. Timid and shy was not her default, and she didn't know why Victor was bringing it out in her. Perhaps it was just the oddness of the whole conversation that was making her act so strangely.
