hello! essentially, i'm looking for his niece, which has been his main motivation for trekking across the country, hoping to find her. she's his brother's daughter, who died before the outbreak to cancer, and danny here has been a sort of in and out of the picture uncle, because he's a career criminal and her mom hates him, though he's been surreptitiously financially supporting her and his niece throughout the years. beyond that, i am super flexible on all the details!

	I’d love to fill this! Any ideas on whether she knows he exists or if she’s been in direct communication with him since she’s been a legal adult? Or is it more that she’s doing her own thing and he’s just gonna show up? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	either or would works for me, whichever we find more interesting! i was thinking they were close when she was younger, so once she got older he's definitely quietly chipped in for her tuition and such even when her mom was trying to limit contact and he's only got some idea of where she was staying last pre-outbreak. 	That sounds good to me! I can totally picture her being obsessed with him as a kid. And since then, her mom has tried to fill her head with half-truths about him, when she’s asked. Definitely thinking the outbreak happened while she was at college, so she might be lightly traumatized by that situation. Where is he in terms of his trek? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

he has definitely missed a few birthdays because he was in jail, so some of them are probably closer to ... truth-truths. that sounds great! he's in providence ridge now where there's a solid cluster of survivors rebuilding, while the family is originally from somewhere further south, so i was thinking her mom might have moved them somewhere north (seattle, calgary?) or she headed up there for college?

	That makes sense. I’ll look into colleges in that area. Trying to decide just how covertly controlling her mom is, as in did her mom want her as close as possible or was it a move to get away from her mom? 	her dad would’ve died when she was a pre-teen roughly, so if you wanted to play it that way, i think it would make sense for her mom to have turned very overprotective/controlling because of it. i think he knew/would’ve figured it out, though before the outbreak he was in vegas and probably a bit off grid. 	That would make sense. Where in Providence Ridge do you have him living? I’m thinking she and her friends went on a camping trip over the 4th of July in Camp Winchester (as silly kids, trying to outrun the outbreak) and then the outbreak found them anyway. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	he's currently staying at the rosie’s enclave, though he’s been there since september, he’s just been waylaid by injury and then winter or he would’ve continued trekking on, so i think it would make sense if she were a later arrival now? maybe they caught word of a community building there or what not? That would make sense! Like, she and her friends just kinda started walking toward Hobson Falls in the hopes that they would find some help. (Definitely could’ve been living out in the forest by themselves for a bit) Perhaps they rather recently lucked upon Rosie’s.

As for faces, I see you have some suggestions. But what would you say to Emma Chamberlain or Sabrina Carpenter?

if i recall correctly, the outbreak already happened in the middle of 2023, so it's been a hot minute, she'd already have a bit of survival under her belt by now! i figure she could be at any of the enclaves, and they run into each other randomly soon down the line?

they're both cute, so whichever works for you! i think emma suits the look a bit better, but whichever you prefer. another suggestion i had but didn't put on my list because i'd have to check with the mods first was sophie thatcher also.
