tbh she sounds like someone that cat would meet accidentally and totally become best friends with. cat’s similar in the sense that she came to new york to do her own thing but her parents don’t support her decisions. they never understood her musical interests and talent, but appeased her whining with the lessons. despite their negativity she put herself through juliard for her bfa and mfa. her dream was to be a concert pianist for the new york philharmonic but she’s auditioned 5 billion times and they keep saying no. so instead of turning tail and going back to las vegas, she’s worked all sorts of jobs - waitressing, lounge piano player, dog walking, etc. eventually she did become a middle school music teacher and they rejoiced because that was normal but then covid happened and teaching over zoom wasn’t working for her, and the school cut more funding from the arts program. so she decided to take making music off the back burner and focus on that, plus she had a video of her singing in the subway go viral so that helped. now she’s a dj and plays various clubs, raves and festivals, but also plays acoustically at bars and cafes for the stuff she composes that doesn’t drop the bass.
