spellcasters my soul for robert pattinson because i love the cliche 🥺 members of the small crime ring she used to be a part of - including the one who irks her soul and eventually became the reason she quit. employees at her tattoo shop, customers of all types! the auror that arrested her a couple of times when she was younger that doesn't fully believe she's on the up and up 👀 a couple of casual hook ups, friendship optional because she's a mess. the ex whose heart she broke terribly when she took off for the us some years ago. someone in a shop next to her that she can come bother when she's bored. other water-adjacent beings that can sense something's up with her (and her sister ~writ) but not sure what! friends please so she doesn't become an angry recluse yelling at people on her non-existent lawn

not a water-adjacent being buuuut myself & the other veelas in game have said that those with veela blood can sense when someone else has non-human blood going on (but def can't always tell what exactly it is) so can always toss isa out for that! but also could offer her up as a friend? she's an illegal fence so not exactly on the up and up herself but she does a good job of pretending she is!

oh that would be awesome! erianthe doesn't currently know she's not fully human so that's something she and her sister would find out as we go on, so i was hoping someone who could sense it would be kind of a push for her to seek that info out, even if it was just a casual question that got her to thinking! and i'd love her as a friend! erianthe needs more friends that aren't her sister and depending on how long isa's been a fence, they could've even worked together when erianthe was still primarily involved in crime?

ha i could totally see isa making some throwaway comment at some point - especially if they're friends! - like, "so wait what's your deal, you've never actually told me what ~other being~ you've got going on??" or some such, to get the ball rolling there! she's been doing the fence thing in london since about 2016, but for a few years prior was working underneath a mentor and doing lots of 'low (wo)man on the totem pole' odds and ends jobs for her (based in spain during that point but could easily say she bounced around for random jobs), so depending on when erianthe got out, we could totally make that work?!

yeeees that'd be perfect! and then that would start her investigating her family like man to try to figure out what secrets they've been keeping. erianthe left crime and london in 2017 so they definitely could've met before then and struck up a friendship?? maybe with erianthe's little gang at the time being hired to find something for her and maybe erianthe being in contact with her the most? isa could've even been the one erianthe was doing her last job for that she ended up quitting over (one of her people got lost and erianthe spent some time having to run around in forests looking for the idiot and that was Enough)

yes please, i love a surprise reunion in an unlikely place! it's lowkey the throughline of maggie's life now that she's in london BUT. 2017 would be perfect? she was still getting used to magic being in her life again while also juuuust dipping a toe into less-than-legal activities with san francisco hedges so we could do a little crime, a little whirwind weekend? if erianthe hadn't given it up yet!

yeeeees that’s perfect! erianthe says she was done with crime but she definitely was dabbling with it when she first went stateside, to make some connections and get some easy cash while getting established there! so maybe something like, they had the same mark they were going for, caught wind of each other, ended up catching each other for a weekend instead? i could see it being something erianthe still thinks about really fondly now and she’d be pleased to see maggie again!

don't worry, erianthe, your secrets are safe with maggie. she would have been completely enamored with her because hello,, look at that face but also with erianthe's past/experience and maggie being green? it was a twofer, and she'd have let erianthe ultimately take whatever it was they were both meant to snatch without any hesitation... and then spend the next few months wondering if she had been a mark. which is all to say that she, too, thinks about that time fondly although she wonders and would have so many questions seeing erianthe in her bar

i love it! i think erianthe would've been just as gone on her during their time together, with the combo of being alone in a new country and talk about faces. i love the idea maybe that maggie thinks erianthe took what she was trying to get from the mark but in the end erianthe also never got it either because she was so distracted with maggie lmao. erianthe had been just bouncing from one one night stand to another at that point so i think it ended up being really good for her to have a good experience with someone for a change and probably helped curb some of her growing misanthropy 😂 ah, and she would've known erianthe as ellis at that time! she's only now back to using her real name as part of her "going legit"

fwiw maggie would have laid on a lot of charm and taken her around the city to the more dreamy and romantic spots so yea, be less misanthropic. people can't be all bad when you're watching the sunset from the sutro baths together, right? but i also really love neither getting it? because it's 100% something maggie would bring up later, in a poor attempt at being snarky like, "yea remember when i let you get (whatever, we should figure this out eventually but not rn)? BECAUSE I DO." this will only happen after she gets over ellis being a fake name, thank you

oh man erianthe would've been like slightly suspicious at the start but she would've totally fallen for it - no one's tried to charm her like that before (or since, sadly, damn) so i don't think she could've resisted even if she wanted to! erianthe's totally a cliche, she acts all big and bad but the moment someone gets under her walls she's a softie. LOL erianthe would be all "what, who? oh that dude, i lost him like immediately." (just thinking off the top of my head, maybe it was someone in possession of some weird artifact that people were gossiping and saying it gave great luck to whoever had it and it was made of like pure gold or something?? and to this day they don't even know it was real but for that period of time it was like the Hot Item that everyone was trying to snatch??? something silly like that!) lol erianthe all "i mean, you can still call me that if you'd like 😏 i always liked the way you said it"

maggie isn't disimilar t b h and will melt for affection so it's a MATCH. neither had a chance in hell. !! yes to this artifact idea. it's perfect? they can eventually both blame their failure on the allegedly very lucky gold thing rather than being utterly enchanted by the other and letting it go on their own accord. and now that i've replied forever later, if you ever wanna write anything backdated or sort out an in-person reunion scene, i will get you an ooc and we will do it!

bobbi is also friends with her sister and is another veela, so i can offer her as another "so what's your deal?" if you want, and thoroughly confuse erianthe by getting it from multiple angles. also friends too, because obviously the goal is to collect all the selkies. bobbi was two years behind at hogwarts, or they could have become friends later down the road. maybe she ventured into discordia one day determined to finally get a tattoo, then noped out at the last second
