Ignore the journal, but I'd love to write a line that involves a psychiatrist/patient relationship with a supernatural twist. The psychiatrist has a somewhat unique, if unspoken, specialization. They often treat patients who are dealing with issues in part related to being supernatural (vampire, werewolf, witch, open to others). The line can remain purely platonic, or can be left open-ended to possibly explore complicated romantic feelings and shifting from a doctor/patient dynamic to something else should the characters click. How the psychiatrist fell into this particular specialization is a story element I'd like to slowly unfold, and to craft a plot with someone else that involves both characters in the mix. Ideally it'd be a line with lots of character exploration and growth, and definitely a balance between drama and wicked humor as too much angst tires me out. I'd like to play the psychiatrist, and for the character in mind I have them as male. I am entirely open to writing them against males or females, and to including secondary characters in the line to flesh things out.
My other idea is a bit more vague, but I'd like to write a detective who is known for taking on and solving "strange" cases that involve the supernatural. Perhaps a new detective is paired with him to learn the ropes that he takes under his wing, or he's had a longtime partner in the field (or someone transfers in that also works those crimes, I'm super flexible). I'd like for them to follow a trail of supernatural crimes and bond through the weirdness. It could be episodic in nature or with a larger villain in play.
