i will definitely take you up on this and abuse your obsession for my personal benefit. so far, he's shaping up to be someone who was a little off as a kid and his family had little money, so he got used to finding things to do that occupied his time (taking things apart, putting them back together and learning how they worked). he saw a lot of tragedy when he was too young to understand what it really meant, maybe saved by a superhero so his obsession with them started there. because of that, he always wanted to do good things and be a decent person/save lives, but his formative thinking had him convinced that people were innately selfish and out for themselves/all of this messed him up so he did what he had to do to survive and was just looking for a way to make things go in his favor for once. i think he graduated hs at like 15 or something insane because he wanted out of his home, went to mit and built a career as a tech or app developer - maybe some sort of superhero tracker, thinking he was doing good but was being manipulated by gov't or maybe built tech and stuff for other heroes and tinkered around with manipulating images to be a self-serving thing at first? wow this is a lot of ramble, i am so sorry.
