I think the problem is a lot of people tend to post their scenes under customs now; or they just scene via discord or google docs or some other platform beyond the journals. So they are writing and developing their characters and lines, but a good majority of rp writers these days seem to like their scenes to be more privately written between them and their scene partner. I admittedly am guilty of this, but have been actually trying to post more scenes for everyone to see/read ooc. To show the growth and develop beyond the IC posts my characters do.
Anyways, I’m also going to say illville is a great game for actual writing. At least I’ve had great success here for my characters in finding writing partners who want to, you know, actually write things out. Thus having been able to actually develop and shape my muses. I’m not going to pretend we are a perfect group of writers, but the majority of us do like to write and develop and interact.
