story of my life, no worries! aw, this would've melted rachael a little bit, at the time she'd just taken pretty much 5 years off to apply for and go to university and was coming back with the eponymous role in a huge film, so to hear that something she'd done meant a lot to someone else on the team would've warmed her to ellie pretty instantly. in general, rachael's probably more well-adjusted than she deserves to be, given her upbringing as the child of unmarried and wildly different parents, who'd been acting professionally from 7 years old and became a pretty much overnight celebrity while still a teenager. she can err toward a little quiet, or at least a little nonverbal, but is quite an emotional person and tries to make sure people she works with know that they have her time and attention; lots of eye contact, good listener, and she's an avid user of ye olde communicating-through-an-expertly-placed-and-timed-hand-on-an-arm-or-shoulder-or-leg technique. i wouldn't say she's "hard to crack," she can be very soft and warm and open with people, but she's not supremely forthcoming right away, and while she had a rep as a bit of an ice princess early in her career (who wouldn't be, when 19 and trying to subconsciously tell paparazzi to fuck off?) she's since become a talk show fave for being a good storyteller, super friendly to the production staff, etc. and she's like that with her costars and crew too.
