he's from jersey but came out to UCLA for both undergrad and grad school in sociology. he started doing standup and podcasting while still an undergrad, but after about three extremely depressed semesters in grad school he decided to drop out and pursue comedy/writing full-time. maplebar was his roommate from senior year through grad school, but if you have your girl around his same age they could have been roommates sophomore-junior year? and maybe she moved out to live with a boy/girlfriend or something but they stayed close? jude's really aggressively cynical and "jokes" about a lot of real life issues that aren't very funny to him, but always words them in a way that are objectively funny to most people who aren't racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic/etc. (the ones who are are usually the only ones who get mad about his jokes.) i haven't given him specific comedy credits because, let's be honest, most white dude comedians are inherently problematic in some form or fashion (and i didn't want to whitewash a comic of color) so i just have more general ideas of what his material/delivery of it consists of for more creative freedom.
