Okay! So, basically, my Rapunzel character starts out as the proprietor of an escort service. It's a legitimate 'dating' service that matches attractive, preferably college educated women with businessmen and the like for charity functions, business dinners, etc, etc.
In the fairy tale, Rapunzel is extremely sheltered and naive. Essentially, the prince tricks his way up her hair and then smooth talks his way into her pants once he's in the tower. She had no idea what sex is until he deflowers her and is so incredibly daft about everything that she a) has no idea he's impregnated her and b) alerts the witch to said pregnancy by commenting that all he dresses are getting tight around the middle. So, of course, the witch tricks the prince into coming up the tower, blinds him, and then sends him Rapunzel off into a desert wasteland.
My line is that I'd love there to be some client of marcheland's, who is very nice and very smart, but is completely not in her league. He constantly tries to ask her out and she politely turns him down and would rather be friends. As the curse takes deeper root, she's going to get more and more gullible and more and more naive. It'll be to the point where she'll literally believe anything she's told. I was thinking the prince could get more and more suave as his eyesight gets worse and worse and trick/smooth talk his way into a date and then end up at some point getting her pregnant. Which of course, she's blind to because - duh - she jumped backward for five steps after they did it (or something equally silly, ha).
That's the basic line, it doesn't have to necessarily go exactly that way or anything, but yes. And most of her app is finished and up in that journal if you'd like to take a look ♥
