oh man, she sounds like a connection max would be nuts not to make. i'm still working him out & will have more tomorrow morning when my brain isn't so bleh but he's 30/31, who left san fransisco about 5 years ago as a nobody, hoping to make it as a somebody. he's been touring on and off since then & while he didn't get near to where he imagined he could, the lifestyle fed his ego a bit too much until he crashed and burned. he's now living in his parent's basement apartment and will be doing everything he can to move out in the coming weeks. on one hand, max is a likable musician, though often times dry and brooding. he's always thought himself to be pretty cool (in a charming way) and he's proud of any musician he gets to play with. on the other hand, because of the lifestyle, he's sort of lost himself and his humble beginnings in the mix of all that. he's realizing that now as he's struggling to get up off his ass and figure out who he used to be and how to get back there. because there's quite an age gap, we can just say they connected/became friends through the noise pop & its annual festival because i'm sure he's made it back home every year for that.
