this is jess' first big roll, too, and she had zero connections to the industry so she's equally (or even more? haha) a fish out of water. she did grow up in los angeles, though. i had in mind that the media has kind of painted her as the 'good girl' of the cast, which she's not super comfortable with and will probably rebel against at some point. she's fun and witty but not particularly book smart. very blunt, kind of weird sense of humor, especially around people who let her get away with it. depending on his level of obnoxiousness, haha, i'd love for them to be super close platonically and taking on the whole living in the public eye thing together - or maybe even not getting along at all?
