right on with your credits, i love what you have for her. i couldn't help but want to dive into the insanity that is aronofsky's directorial style and rumors of it! i promise he would not deprive her of clean water, so there is that at least. he is definitely a control freak, wants to throw himself right into a project and stays hyper focused at the task at hand, demands a whole lot from his actors because he's so passionate on his vision being brought to life and when he hires someone to help him along for the ride, they become part of the process too so it's as though he sees himself at a certain level and wants everyone to be up there too, at the same time, at the same pace. i think with noah it was a juggernaut for him as well though he would not actually ever admit that, and that also had a hand with days being pretty shitty on top of the hurricane halting some scenes temporarily. because of that, it would 100% add to his desire to keep everything controlled when things were just flying out of control and it would add to him being, well, kind of an asshole under those circumstances especially. barking out orders when things weren't exactly going right, having the cast stay later, ignoring certain requests if a scene was getting uncomfortable, because to him it's like once you are in it you should throw yourself all the way in it through the good and the bad. nothing else should be getting in the way to that. he is nicer when filming ends, like once the project is done he tones it down somewhat, so there's that too!
