his power is the ability to store anything that has an effect on his mind and body - things like emotions, hunger, thirst, tiredness, and physical wounds - and save them to experience later, and he can also transfer what he's saved to others. so he can literally sleep for days and then go two weeks without sleep, or eat once a week at an all-you-can-eat buffet and never buy groceries (which he totally doesn't do). he was raised by his empath con artist mother and spent the first two decades of his life running scams of various kinds. five years ago he got caught in one of them (a mark turned out to be higher security than expected) and when the government found out about his power they forced him into playing hero support. he decided to spin the story as him getting tired of being a criminal and wanting to be a good guy, because it's less embarrassing than admitting he got caught. but while he was basically blackmailed into being a good guy originally, he kinda likes it now, so he went from being a chaotic neutral who only cared about his family to a chaotic good/neutral good type who gives the more ingenious/stylish villains too many props. by day he’s an innocent barista who puts approx five percent of effort into maintaining his cover and not appearing suspicious, and he only puts that much into it because his heroing bosses would rather hide that they’re blackmailing a grifter.
