ingrid is from a large family of five. two sisters, two brothers, and she's in the exact middle of the pack. her dad is a former head of the department of magical accidents and catastrophes. her mom was formerly head of the spell damage floor at st. mungo's and now prefers to stay home and/or socialize with other wizarding elite. thanks to some nepotism, ingrid works with the long-term care patients at the hospital. she's actually a great healer and takes a lot of pride in her work, and has taken on extensive research outside of her paid hours to help her patients when she needs to. but i imagine her co-workers made judgements about her before she even set foot in the door? back in hogwarts, she was undoubtedly a slytherin where she excelled in charms and potions, though i don't think she was a "i can only hang with slytherins" type of lady. she enjoys socializing with people too much for that. on a surface level ingrid would definitely give off an air of being an elitist snob, but under that i think she feels a real pressure to keep up her family image and make them proud. she's loyal to those she allows to get close to her, but doesn't give many second chances if she feels she's been crossed. she craves being liked, regardless of the cost for her. these are a slew of NOT SO GREAT things about her, but! she's not cruel, most of her negative traits stem from rich girl insecurity and she's working on being better and more mindful.
in terms of lines for now, if her parents are customers of his, they could have met through that and struck up something?
