arbington Lines! She's Edith, Ezra Cross' wife, and editor for the Herald. Friends, family, fellow upper-class socialites who don't mind the scandal of her job and marriage, people who do mind, fellow workers on the paper, etc etc. I'm open to most ideas!

Both of mine would know her! Emma here works for the Herald, but under a pseudonym to protect her identity. As editor, your lady would know her as both, and would have to keep that secret with her. It works in the paper's best interests if Emma can continue hiding, because it's a large part of how she gets gossip for her columns.

I also have

furandlace. She's known Ezra for a few years through her brother and thinks of him like another sibling, and that same brother (

jmcnally) works for the Herald. As long as Edith treats both men well, the two of them should get along fabulously, even if Anabelle thinks Edith's position if unusual.

Apologies for the delay! I got swamped with schoolwork this weekend.

I really love the look of both of them, I'm very excited! Edith has never particularly enjoyed gossip largely because she feels a great part of it is built on false assumptions or exaggerated, but Emma tends to be fairly accurate so she can't find fault there, and Edith has never been able to wholly dislike any other woman who manages to break the rules a little anyways. She's very discreet with Emma's secret, of course, and probably covers up any meeting with her as a social visit instead of a professional one. And I wouldn't be surprised if Edith has dropped a hint or two as to some unsavory bits of knowledge she's gathered in her own time.

As for Anabelle, I think they'll get along fabulously as well. I haven't contacted Jordan's writer yet, but I like think they'd get along well enough from his profile, and Edith absolutely adores her husband and it shows. And she doesn't mind people thinking her position is a bit unusual--I mean, it is. I think she got it due to family influence and kept it because she's good at it. Since Arbington isn't exactly the largest place, I imagine that she and Anabelle have known each other for a while now?
