steffen was adopted so it leaves it open to take from either parent. more or less how i imagined it, his biological father was married and didn't want it to ruin his marriage and his mother didn't want that kind of commitment on her own. this year, he finally met/talked to both of them so he knows he has half siblings on each side but he's not really the type to reach out to anyone. i only have a few facts in mind for his mother, that she's an addict and has a lot of problems and it was something that sort of had passed down to him. whatever parent you choose, we could say that your girl found out and wanted to make the connection? or really, i'm up for figuring anything out on them meeting.
