i've been really into the theme of trauma/guilt-induced cognitive inhibition, but to my crushing disappointment have never had the chance to write a line off it. think raben from series 2 of forbrydelsen (spoilers witness to a war crime and spends the series trying to expose the culprit and subsequent cover-up, only to remember in the end that he had himself been a willing participant and executed a child), simon from trance (spoilers what seems like a simple art heist leads back to him remembering an obsessive, abusive relationship and subsequent murder of a woman), various interpretations of leonard from memento, to name a few. due to the nature of unreliable narration the concept might work best as a psl, but what i would really like is to take this to a game with a writer who's into threading as much as i am.
tl;dr someone does a horrible thing and suppresses the memory, we write like they're regular protagonists until the big reveal. i have a few ideas for the other role, ranging from benevolent to antagonistic in nature, and one or two where i might even be willing to switch roles. any takers hmu.
