nothing quite set in stone yet but i think he might possibly be a bar owner, former high school teacher. hasn't quite grown out of being a bit of a brat, loves to party, has an ex-wife he's terrified of, and a roommate because he doesn't feel he need to have his own space still. originally from detroit from a pretty hard family life so he comes off as a bit materialistic, "started from the bottom" is totally his theme song! has the worst luck when it comes to relationships so he lives to bother his closest friends and be all up in their business and bemoan how lonely and unloved he is until someone pities him and buys him a drink

	haha, i totally think they'd be friends. keat's a bit different (born from wealth, married to make the parentals mad, divorced and made em even more mad, fucked around a bit and then finally apprenticed to become a tattoo artist.) hanging at the bar with other divorcees has its' charm, though. they both got married for about the same reasons though, that was his reason but vice versa - his family was pretty rough but she was well off and his family all hated her so he married her, whoops. maybe they got to be friends over that pretty sad reason? he's got a tendency to sit at the bar and drink and spill his guts to people and embarrass his employees because they know it's the owner making a fool out of himself, not just a random customer

for all his shortcomings, mac has no filter and an inability to be mysterious about himself, it's his one good endearing trait i think. and yes for shooting the shit, though mac would do it under his breath and while looking over both shoulders because he's totally half-convinced that if he says her name loud enough she'll show up to berate him over his life choices
