[09 Jan 2012|05:13pm] Does anyone else out there miss the days where roleplaying actually consisted of roleplaying? Its seems to me that more time is spent plotting out every last detail of a line then actually writing the characters that we spend hours creating. Character development now relies more on AIM conversations and spam wars, things that while fun, are not what roleplaying is really about. I miss getting excited to sign online and write. To allow my characters to grow and develop through actual writing and to see things happen naturally rather then have everything predetermined. I have an idea for a community that would let us get back to the roots of roleplaying. It would center around a boarding school in its first year of existence. It would be home to students from all over the world and focus on the relationships of said students and teachers. Since the majority of these students would not know each other before attending the academy, it would mean everyone would be starting with a blank slate. Lines will have to be developed through scenes. This community would also be kept on the smaller side in hopes that no one would be lost in the shuffle. Sanguis Falling is a supernatural themed game about the daily lives of vampires, demons, and were-creatures. Normal mortals do exist, but their lives are dominated by the supernatural creatures around them. There are a large number of roles available for application, but what we are in immediate need for are members of the vampire and demon families. [09 Jan 2012|08:18pm] Does anyone else out there miss the days where roleplaying actually consisted of roleplaying? Its seems to me that more time is spent plotting out every last detail of a line then actually writing the characters that we spend hours creating. Character development now relies more on AIM conversations and spam wars, things that while fun, are not what roleplaying is really about. I miss getting excited to sign online and write. To allow my characters to grow and develop through actual writing and to see things happen naturally rather then have everything predetermined. I have an idea for a community that would let us get back to the roots of roleplaying. It would center around a boarding school in its first year of existence. It would be home to students from all over the world and focus on the relationships of said students and teachers. Since the majority of these students would not know each other before attending the academy, it would mean everyone would be starting with a blank slate. Lines will have to be developed through scenes. This community would also be kept on the smaller side in hopes that no one would be lost in the shuffle. I'm thinking she could have gone into witness protection program to hide from an evil exboyfriend. The ex hires the older man to track her down. I would like to play the female. I would like to play Leighton Meester, Ashley Greene, Bar Refaeli, or either Keira Knightley as the young female in hiding.
