here's a c&p: karyn is a 22-year-old graduate of northwestern university who moved to ann arbor about a year ago. raised by a single mother who taught her to be confident and independent, she has always had a lot of ambition. she studied communications in college and aspires to open her own wedding planning agency someday, but for now she's working as a consultant at a bridal shop and doing everything she can to navigate the "real world" gracefully. she's had some difficulty adjusting to post-graduate life and has plenty of growing up to do outside of work, especially where her interpersonal skills are concerned; because she has abandonment/trust issues as a result of her father's absence, she tends to keep people at arm's length even after she's befriended them and is more apt to repress her feelings than she is to express them. having said that, she values her friendships immensely and is steadfastly loyal to those she cares about. also of note is that she identifies as a "sexually liberated feminist" and is notorious for provocative dress and promiscuity (when she is not in a committed relationship).

briar is a 22 year old michigan native who has lived in ann arbor for the past year. last spring she graduated from the college for creative studies in detroit with a bfa in illustration, which she's not doing much with aside from some little pet projects since currently she's waitressing at pacific rim to make ends meet. she's a little nerdy in that she loves fantasy writing, art, and games, and all kinds of animation. she's independent and silly, which can maybe sometimes make her seem outgoing, but she's happiest when she can retreat into her own little world where very few people are let in for longer than her short attention span usually allows. to her few favorite people though she can be very sweet, thoughtful, and loyal. she lives in windsor commons, though previously she was in kellogg's with the ex that she moved there with, so it's possible she'd know people in both places.
