thehudson ~will to come back, or Richard Madden for boyhood friends. Professional ties. Oona Chaplin or a 30+ lady for an emotionally tortuous therapist line (whomever fills this would have all the love and a robust client base in the game).
1. Someone in the mental health profession with experience in a very discreet, just a shade dodgy in-patient clinic outside of the US. For reasons of chronology, she may need be aged up a bit or been placed in a lesser qualified position (HCA, for instance, or the daughter perhaps of a senior staff member). There's loads of detail to this and I can unlock some entries for you, but essentially this is the one person who can vaguely get through to George, and the one woman whom he treats with unquestioned sobriety and deference. Tension is equally unavoidable as he is intensely private with capacity to be extremely unkind when his control does snap. I might suggest a very clinical personality for this character, regarding people purely as one might an especially interesting laboratory specimen; who is accordingly misjudged as being slightly inhuman, but in her own ways capable of pragmatic and unsentimental though no less fierce affection. An open-ended platonic narrative with room for development, if with confused/repressed feelings on his part.
2. For the love of clouds, anyone in the aviation industry! Candidates for flight/ATC/mechanics humour and mischiefs at zero payload are especially encouraged to apply. Also welcome: fabulous pilots who leave the cabin crew silently gobsmacked by showing up to pre-flight briefing with massive cut diamonds in their ears, revealed to be clip-ons once cockpit doors are sealed; or who stand round chatting idly with the pax with hoodies slipped over their uniform before flitting off into the flight deck and causing much alarm. (Not likely stunts at Delta, but worthy anecdotes just the same.)
