here's her little blurb, i'm all exhausted and can't find great words today.

kingsley taylor. 22. originally from hawaii. loves to surf and lives on the water. pretty laid back. isn't a huge drinker but likes her marijuana. the only girl in a houseful of boys so she's used to things being hectic. this is her third year as a counselor at camp horizons and she was there as a camper for a few years before that. her dad was in a famous band and they made a good bit of money but he dropped out to take up his passion for surfing, which he taught kingsley almost as soon as she could walk. she gets along better with boys than girls because dealing with drama isn't her strongest point.

well scarlett is originally from london, so she'd love that there was someone else not from mainland america around! i think this is her second year counseling, so they'd have met one another last year!

scarlett kinsella, 20 years old, born and bred in london, england. her parents were young when her mom fell pregnant and their relationship barely withstood the nine months before she was born -- scar ended up staying with her father and her paternal grandparents because her mom didn't think she could cope with a child at 19. as a result she's used to surging forward and being independent and working hard, because she and her dad had to keep things going (i think they have a family-run pub or something and she's always worked there to help out) as her grandparents got older. she's certainly not shy; very talkative and very good at putting on an air of confidence even when she's not confident at all, and she has the very bad habit of cussing all the time which is something she's had to reign in when there's younger people about. she signed up for camp america/camp horizons as soon as she turned old enough; she's training to be a teacher back home and it's a bit of experience and a bit of money rolled into one. she loves the beatles and springsteen and star wars and classic disney movies, and though it would be easy to be fooled into thinking she was more of a girls girl, she's quite a tomboy at heart. i think she works in the sports activity area; tennis and soccer, specifically, though probably has more to do with tennis. and she's a total klutz, despite the reasonable hand-eye coordination

don't mind the c&p:

elliott was adopted as a baby and raised in a loving though highly stressful and heartache filled home. his father, a firefighter with a heart of gold lost his first wife to cancer when elliott was just nine years old. his second wife and elliott's second mother was lost to diabetes by the time elliott was sixteen. personality wise he is a rather quiet guy with an old soul attached, though he could easily just be considered shy. he's a little morbid from time to time but it helps him cope with all the loss he's already had in his life. he's unaware of any of his redeeming qualities and doesn't particuarly think the best of himself, and he's got the scars to prove it, but he's hardly the depressing guy sitting off alone, he's very nice once you get him talking and carries a rather whimsical manner about him when it comes to the camp and kids. he doesn't feel the need to define his sexual orientation as he's a love who you wanna love sort but no one other than his best friend is aware of it. having attended the camp as a kid, elliott stopped coming because both his previous mother's passed while he was away at camp horizon for the summer. for the longest time he viewed the place as a death sentence but decided to apply for a job last year having used it as a trial to see if his father's third wife would also pass away suddenly. since his father's third wife is still alive and well he has pushed the notion of camp horizon being a death omen to the back of his mind and is happy to be back in a place that in the past has brought him equal amounts of joy

they're pretty much opposites, i think; scarlett can be really outgoing and possesses the ability to look entirely confident even when she's not confident at all. her mother left when she was a baby and her dad never really got into any other serious relationships, so she's pretty used to being introduced to some woman and then never meeting her again. but they'd have started as counselors at the same time, though he'd have the advantage of having gone there as a camper, so there could be a bonding thing there? neither of them really knew the ropes at the beginning?

alright, well hunter is 22 and has that mysterious rockstar type personality about him, mostly because he just doesn't let people in as often as he should. he's generally a nice guy though, knows how to treat ladies right and is a good friend because he expects the same thing in return. he's pretty much permanently attached to his guitar and/or ipod and there's always some sort of music going through his head. he grew up going to the camp and loved it, so it was natural that he came back to work there. he's worked there for three summers and is a counselor. he's from chicago and ~draw's cousin.

scar is a huge music fan but has never actually gotten into learning any instrument or anything. her dad was a huge vinyl record hoarder and so she's got a huge love for the old stuff. this is her second summer so they'd have met before at least. she's 20 years old and certainly not shy; very talkative and very good at putting on an air of confidence even when she's not confident at all, is a total klutz and she has the very bad habit of cussing all the time which is something she's had to reign in when there's younger people about. she works in the sports activity area; tennis and soccer, specifically, though probably has more to do with tennis.

if she ever gets into any sort of music conversation, especially her dad's vinyl collection or her love of the old stuff, she'd capture his heart, or at least gain a friend. they can both keep each other's bad mouth's in check, as well. i definitely think they'd get along wonderfully, in the very least.

her love of the old stuff will be emblazoned on a number of t-shirts that are no doubt worn and totally shabby, she spends far too much money on shirts with bruce springsteen on them. it certainly sounds like they will get along really well though, yes! she's also quite close with ~heypretty, as they were co-counselors last year, so they can have started talking through sophie?

i'll give you one! here's a short c/p: charlie is a very outdoorsy person. athletics are a huge part of his life and he gets restless when he's cooped up indoors. he's social and outgoing, a very guy's guy in a lot of ways, and he's openly gay and proud to break away from the stereotype that gay guys are effiminite or not as masculine as straight men. he's been a counselor at the camp for three years and loves opening kids' eyes to how fun the outdoors can be.

oh, well scarlett is also really outdoorsy and into tennis and soccer mainly, but she's not one to sit indoors when it's a nice day, and they have the same sort of outgoing disposition.
