This is just a rough idea of what I think would be a fun storyline to play out. My goal is to take this to a community, but I wouldn’t mind starting it out in a PSL and then taking it to a community. My PB is Matthew Goode, and I would love to play this line out with a Miranda Lambert but that is really just a suggestion. Also I would love a southern community and setting to take this line to.
Seth Harding grew up on a farm in a small southern town. He was raised on a tractor in overalls and boots, with old fashion southern values. As a teenager it was football games on Friday nights, cursing the downtown strip on Saturdays, and church on Sunday morning. There were bonfires, and everything you would expect teenagers to do in a small town. Seth’s family owned and operated a dairy farm which been in the family for three generations. The farm of course started out small but when Seth’s father, Frank took over he was able to grow and expand the farm. When Seth was around eleven his father brought his friend in to work as his foreman. His friend had a daughter Seth age so it was only normal that the two farm kids would run around playing, and getting in and out of trouble together. She was a typical farmer daughter, a tomboyish girl who was not afraid to get her hands dirty. While the girls would work in the farm’s café to earn extra money she would work along side Seth and the other boys in the fields.
The two became quick friends, and they done everything together, but they never saw each other as more then friends until high school. In high school she filled out nicely, she was an athletic, beautiful, blonde bombshell. And for Seth spending all of life working in the fields had given him a nice athletic body of his own, and a natural tan tone. The two would go back and forth, dating one minute and then deciding to be friends. The thing that kept them from ever really staying in a commitment relationship was the fact that she knew that she wanted to stay in town get married and raise a family , while he wanted to travel. He wanted more then the small town and more then his family’s farm. Senior year rolled around they went to prom together, and he took her V card. However he also announced that he was going to college, which wasn’t a problem cause he was attending college nearby. After high school the two really gave a strong effort at a commitment relationship and it was working.
Summer was spent at the farm, and she would visit him at college. But after college he dropped a bomb. He was accepted Columbia School of law in New York City, with an internship and future job at a top law firm. He didn’t break up with her or at least he didn’t want to but she just couldn’t see herself living in a big city, and didn’t understand why New York City, why couldn’t he just couldn’t stay in their town or at least nearby. It was painful but they parted ways. She stayed in that small town, having attending college there and having kept her job at the farm, she moved up the ranks and help the farm grow more successful. Seth followed his goals and what he thought was his dreams. He finished law school, accepted a job at the firm, married a high-ranking socialite, and lived a life he thought he wanted. 2011 marked a lot of problems for Seth. Problems between him and his wife were building up, and his father became sick. On top of all of that Seth had grown sick of living in the city, the smug, the crime, and the pushy rude people.
Seth’s firm invested a lot of money into expanding the year before, and their investments had not paid off. They had to cut a lot of their lawyers and offices, and because Seth was always viewed upon as an outsider, he was laid off. Before he could even deal with that problem, he had to come back home to burry his father. He attended the funeral with his five year old and then quickly returns back to New York City to try to save his marriage at least. However it was too late. His wife had cleaned the house out. Took everything that wasn’t nailed down and left him a note explaining that she couldn’t take living with him any longer. She wanted her freedom. So Seth went home, He went back to his family and backs to that small town with his child, only to find her that his father left the farm to him. All of the orchards and the business was his now.
That was very long winded I know. But I wanted to make sure I gave the full background so anyone interested in playing in the woman would have a good idea on what I am looking for. I want Seth and the woman in the line to slowly reconnect and get back together. Seth is going to be running the farm and she will be his vice president. I want to brainstorm their new relationship now. But I think right now it is a lot of him trying to get back in her good graces, and her forgiving him years ago but thinking its fun to watch him kind of humble himself. I also see lots of fun times playing around the farm.
