yep, i did. definitely! what's she like? this is a total copy and paste job and it's kind of long, so apologies on both accounts! don's 28 and from boston originally, but jumped at the chance to get out of the house because he and his parents didn't exactly have the warmest of relationships, so he found himself at pomona college, where he graduated with an english degree. wrote a novel, it did extremely well, all things considered, and he was the happiest he had ever been. and then, of course, things came crashing down. when he wrote his second novel, it bombed. he tried for a third attempt, but struggled for inspiration and soon didn't have anyone to publish any more of his work. that really crushed him. he wound up getting a job as a copywriter, which eventually transferred him back to boston about three/four years ago, which has been a little weird for him, to get used to his old familiar environment and with his parents still in the area. personality wise, don is aloof and distant at first impression, but underneath a prickly exterior is a friendly, charming guy who takes a while to warm up to people and let them in. he's intuitive and emphatic and doesn't lose his temper or let much of anything get to him, not insults or differing opinions, and is calm under pressure. because of his more easygoing approach and seeming lack of ambition, people try to peg him as lazy. but that's not really the case. he knows what he wants (to write again), but he's not one to attack his dreams the same way other people do and the fact his failure is still looming over his head makes the situation worse. he hides all of his emotions behind a mask, lashing out at people with sarcastic remarks as a warning that they're getting too close for comfort or using apathy or self-deprecating humor.
