Lost
Who: Iris and Juliet What: Iris looses her snake Katie. Where: the ninth and eighth floor When: October 17th Warnings: None yet
Normally Iris was extremely reserved and quiet, but she had posted to the public apartment forum with no issues, and had even talked to a few people. There was hope that she could actually make friends. This was a new development, one that she hoped would last. Iris had been defrosting a rat for Katie (her boa constrictor) for most of the night, and after she finished her own supper of pasta with butter and garlic, she walked over to put the rat in the snake's cage. Katie's cage took up most of the living-room wall, and was certainly no joke. Katie was a rescued snake, one that had been purchased at a pet shop by an ignorant naive owner, who had no idea what he was getting into. Poor Katie was six feet long and had been squished into a twenty gallon fish tank when Iris rescued her. Katie now lived in luxury, in a custom built tank that any snake would be jealous of.
Iris unlocked the tank and slid open the sliding glass door to set the rat down inside. However as Iris set the rat down, it soon became evident that Katie was definitely not in her tank. A six foot long snake was pretty impossible to miss, no matter how big the set-up may be. Nevertheless, Iris walked around the cage in vain, looking for her pet. In one of the corners, Iris noticed that the tank hadn't been reassembled properly and a small gap could be seen between the glass and base of the tank. Great. Iris's eyes widened when she noticed that somehow she had left the front door open when she had come back from the grocery store with heavy bags earlier. Katie could be anywhere.
